Today is my lovely wife Randa’s birthday! She is 42 years young and still as beautiful, if not more, today than the day we met nearly 10 years ago!

The girls and I baked a cake last night and the girls frosted it this morning. Annie picked out a pair of earrings for Randa and Allison gave Randa a Periwinkle Ty Beanie Baby stuffed animal. (For those that don’t know, Periwinkle is from Blue’s Clues.) Ainsley and I gave Randa a book (Iron & Silk by Mark Salzman) and cd (The Altar and the Door by Casting Crowns). And of course, there were cards galore – including the first signature from Allison in which she spelled and wrote her whole name by herself. And the mailbox only had cards for Randa today! Incredible!
