Happy Mother’s Day to My Mom!
5May 12, 2012 by Stephen
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. I’ve sent my mom a card and I’ll give her a call tomorrow morning. Since we live half a country apart, I won’t get to see her or be with her in person. I will get to be with my wife, who is mom to our three daughters. I’ll be posting about that tomorrow. Tonight, I wanted to express my love and appreciation for my mom.
My mom is a very special woman. She has been married for almost 47 years and has raised three sons. All told, she has put up with the four of us for over 42 years. And she does it with a smile on her face! My mom is loving, caring, and supportive. She taught me much about life. I never wondered if I was loved – I knew I was! My mom is also special because she is now Grammy to my three girls.
Mom, I love you! There are not enough words to express how thankful and grateful I am to have you for my mom (and Grammy to my girls)! I hope you have a special Mother’s Day – you deserve it!
Until today I always assumed Mother’s Day was the same everywhere. How wrong can you be? In the UK it is the fourth Sunday in Lent and in the USA the second Sunday in May and there are a whole bunch of alternative dates around the World!
To be honest, I hadn’t really given it much thought either and made the same assumption.
She is a beautiful lady. Happy Mother’s Day to her! 🙂
Thank you! I love my mom!
And it shows. 🙂
