Weekly Photo Challenge: Blue

13

May 15, 2012 by Stephen

This week’s challenge is: BLUE. Blue is my favorite color and I associate many good and pleasant things with the color blue. Unfortunately, I also associate this picture with the color blue. Affectionately known as the “blue screen of death,” my old work laptop suffered this fate twice. After the first time, my hard drive was intact, but wiped clean. So our IT guy fixed it back up. After the second time, he got me a new laptop. Thankfully, that one is still going strong!

Here’s a positive association, courtesy of my dad: Texas Bluebonnets.

Love the bluebonnets!! I am from TX (born and raised), but I don’t live there anymore, so this photo reminds me of what I am missing 🙂 Great shot!

Thanks, Casey. We don’t live in Texas anymore, either. I see you’re from Austin. I went to Georgetown High School and then to A&M and then to Baylor. My parents still live outside Georgetown. The Austin metro area is a wonderful area!

Those are pretty flowers. They resemble the lupines down here, although the latter are not blue. 🙂

  6. Love bluebonnets! Lived in Texas for a while – went to SW Texas State Univ (as it was called in the nineties).
My son was born at Bluebonnet hospital (ironically in Louisiana!)
Tried to bring some seeds back to England when we moved back – but they sadly didn’t take.
