Travel Theme: Secret Places

4

June 19, 2012 by Stephen

Ailsa over at Where’s my backpack? has a new challenge for us: Secret Places. This photo was taken in December 2008 in Washington, D.C. Our family was on the way to visit the National Christmas Tree when we came upon this memorial statue tucked away in a grove on the corner of the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences. If you’re ever in D.C. and have some time, I encourage you to visit this ‘secret place.’

Aww, look at him sitting there. I’d never heard of the Einstein Memorial, but it will be one of the first things I visit when I make it to DC. Thanks for sharing this secret, Stephen! xxx

I was in D.C. in March and saw this statue. We noticed it after driving pass it and never got a chance to circle back and see it. It certainly is in a secret place. Thanks for sharing.

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

  4. What a wonderful find – thanks so much for sharing it!
