Unlimited Vacation Days?

That’s what Bryan Miles at the MAGSAYS blog posted yesterday.  Here’s the link.  He argues that offering unlimited vacation days would most likely not be abused.  And he listed three benefits:

  1. You treat employees like adults.
  2. You can attract some crazy-good talent.
  3. Your costs are lowered.

I think this proposition is interesting and bears examining further.  The post concludes with the question, “Could this work for your church?”  I would expand that question to the church at large.  If the three benefits listed above are true, then this idea is one that the church should seriously consider.  I don’t know about you, but being treated like an adult, getting to work with talented people, and helping to lower costs sounds like a good idea to me!
