Share Your World – Week 20
7April 22, 2012 by Stephen
I thought I’d try something new today. In becoming a regular blogger and especially in particpating in the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge, I’ve discovered and started following some other bloggers, many of whom are photographers. One of those blogs is Cee’s Life Photography Blog. Cee has a regular weekly feature called Share Your World. I’ve enjoyed getting to know some of the boggers through the questions and I think I’ll give it a try myself. As an introvert, this is a little outside of my comfort zone, but I need to be challenged every now and again. Here it goes:
- How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? I’m not sure how to answer this, but I think the answer would always be younger than I really am. I’ve always felt younger. I’m 42 now, but I feel as if I’m younger than that, and I feel that others treat me as younger than that. I’ve spent a lot of time working with teenagers and children, and some of my best friends are in their late 20s and 30s. I think that probably has something to do with me feeling younger than my chronological age.
- What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you? I’m going to eliminate all the kind things that I’ve experienced from my family for this question. Right off the top of my head, I would have to say the kindest thing that someone has done for me was when Carol Ann (a volunteer in the youth ministry at the church I worked at during seminary) set me up on a blind date with a teacher she worked with at the local high school. She thought we would be a good match and she was right! That teacher has been my lovely wife for almost 13 years! I’d say that was pretty kind!
- What was your favorite childhood television program? As a child I loved cartoons, so I’d say the Saturday morning cartoon shows, especially Looney Tunes. I also enjoyed re-runs of Gilligan’s Island and The Brady Bunch. I also loved watching sports.
- Which cooking utensil (other than the usual pots and pans etc) would you miss the most? I’m not much for fancy cooking utensils, so I don’t really have an answer for this one. I’d say that I would miss our Toaster Oven the most.

I feel younger til I look in the mirror.
Mmm…would take some thought.
Leave it to Beaver and Jetsons!
Juicer!!!
Ah, the Jetsons! That was a favorite also!
I think of the Jetsons video phone every time I Skype! 🙂
I bet you watched ABCs Wide World of Sports every Sunday. I so adored that show too. You have some wonderful answers. I sure enjoyed reading them.
Thanks, Cee! Yes, I did watch Wide World of Sports. “The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat!” In my mind, I can hear the music and see the ski jumper crashing!
Welcome to our regular Sunday meet and greet Stephen!
Of course that is the kindest thing someone did for you. Meeting our BFF is at the top of my list too. I think it’s something sometimes we tend to take for granted in the everyday things of life.
I enjoyed your other answers and especially too your comment to Cee about ABC’s WWof Sports.
Thank you for the welcome and for the kind comments!
