Thirteen Years
5June 5, 2012 by Stephen
Today my wife and I are celebrating our 13th Anniversary. It’s been a wonderful time together, filled with great moments, frustrating moments, and tough moments – just like life. The best part is that we are on this journey together and we have each other’s backs. As the minister who did our premarital counseling told us, the three important things to have in order to have a long and successful marriage are 1) commitment to Christ, 2) commitment to each other no matter what, and 3) commitment to improving our communication with each other. We’re got the first two, and because of that, we can live in the tension of living out the third one. We love each other and we are blessed!
Here are some photos from our day together:

congrats, and may you have many more. 😉
CONGRATULATIONS! Praying God’s continued blessings on your marriage and many move blessed years to come.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
congratulations
Congratulations on 13 years, praying and wishing for dozens of more 13 years. I love the advice you received in your pre-wedding counciling so much that I am copying and pasting it to do on a collage for my husband and mine’s bedroom. I think it is tender and yet very proactive
Kind of like a marriage that makes it 13 years… or in my case 42.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I started playing piano at age 2 and then mom made me take up a second instrument when I started first grade, so I chose the violin. Played it until 1993 — Corpus Christ Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Brazos Valley Orchestra.
