The Nationals just completed the first third of the season and it has turned out well as they finished with a record of 32-22. They have a 2 game lead in the division. Last year at this time the Nationals were 23-31. The Nationals are still struggling with injury concerns, but they have gotten back Chien-Ming Wang and Michael Morse. The pitching is still strong and Bryce Harper has been doing well. The hitting could use some work, but it is slowly coming around. Since their hot start (14-4), the Nationals are playing .500 ball – not too bad considering everything that has happened so far. Here’s to hoping that they can continue to hold on, get healthy, and then get better.
