I finished teaching a series of lessons on Hosea this morning in Sunday School at our church. I concluded with this prayer, written by Estill Jones, the author of the Learner’s Study Guide we used: “Hosea: Revealing God’s Love.”

Let us be forgiving of our enemies.
Let us be gracious to everyone.
Let us see to it that God is known and experienced in our household.
Let us worship only God.
Let us thank and give credit to God for what God has done.
Let us be forgiving of ourselves.
Let us be patient with those we love the most.
Let us follow God.
Let us be simply faithful. Amen.
